At every meal, we offer Tessa (21 mos) some of what we are eating (either by feeding it to her or putting it on her tray so she can self feed). Ninety-nine percent of the time she refuses to even try it and will spit it out if we *make* her try it. Now, if it is a dessert, she’s more than willing to eat it. (I have no idea how she can tell when something is sweet.) Tonight daddy grilled steak and corn on the cob. Low and behold, Tessa TRIED the corn and LIKED it! Now we can add that food to the short list of (non-dessert) foods that she will eat: Mac & cheese, yogurt, apple sauce, edamame, crackers/pretzels/cereal, fries and sometimes grapes, peas and apples.
